Dear Family and Friends:
I was so thankful to get to skype my family today. It was a well needed break from missionary life. I love them so much.
This week I have been transferred to my second area. I am now in Santa Thomas and my new companion is Sister Mina. She's a cute Filipina but thankfully she speaks good English so I haven't been too overwhelmed. She loves superheros too, so we get along really well.
I was really having a hard time this week with the change and missing my previous area. One day I was reading in the Book of Mormon and I came across a verse that helped me out a lot to refocus.
It's 1 Nehpi 3:15 and it says:
"But behold I said unto them that: As the Lord liveth, and as we live, we will not go down unto our father in the wilderness until we have accomplished the thing which the Lord hath commanded us."
This helped me to realize that I have a commitment here. No matter how hard this may get for me I am here to do what I signed up for. I am in it for the long haul. And I know that if I focus, I will be able to not only finish, but finish with flying colors. I know I have better days ahead and countless blessings for me, my family, and those with whom I will come in contact here on the mission.
I am so grateful for this opportunity to open up my life and the lives of others to the possibility of God's miracles.
