Dear Family and Friends:
This week was pretty good. I was all hyped up from the General Conference and uplifted and ready to get to work. We picked up a dropped investigator that seems more ready to move forward. Tagalog gets easier every day. In general. . .things were going well.
And then it happened.
For those of you who have been silly enough to go play in the snow without proper warmth-retention gear (yes, I am one of those), you are familiar with the tingly pins-and-needles/burning sensation that occurs when you return back into the warm house. Painful right? Now multiply that by about 5, put it in swollen feet, add a dash of an itchy rash all over your extremities, and you have an idea of what I have had the pleasure of experiencing this past weekend. I have no idea where it came from or why. But it prohibited me from walking that first day. It was quite scary. And I have no idea where it came from.
So this has happened every morning from the first day. It's a little scary. But this morning it happened really bad again. And I felt guilty because it's P-day and the other sisters were up and about cleaning the apartment and I couldn't. I was still in bed. So as I was laying there, I was praying so hard. I said to Heavenly Father, "Please just fix my feet so I can help them clean and function today. I really need my feet."
Then a phrase from the Bible came clearly into my head, "Arise and walk." And I did.
Needless to say, it was still painful. I was walking on the sides of my feet for the first little bit. But I eased into it and I was able to function normally. Finally.
I just want to say, that the power of God is real. If there is something you are supposed to be doing that He wants you to be doing, He will provide a way (1 Nephi 3:7, we all know the scripture). I know that I'm not completely healed, but I have more and better motivation to continue on.
Thank you for all your prayers and support. This is an amazing experience and I LOVE it here.
Love you all,
~Sister Lefebvre
