"Would You Be Willing?"
Dear Family and Friends:
So this week I have a ton of spiritual gold I want to share because there were just so many things that have happened and devotionals and mga bagay... So I think I'm just gonna list a few for now:
1. When Sheri Dew speaks, she sounds and looks A TON like Jodi Foster.
2. When you pray and study for answers, they may not always come when you want. But they will come because the Gospel is true.
3. Pray to God that everything will be okay. Because we may know logically that it will be, but our emotions and heart may think otherwise. So pray for that confirmation that your heart and spirit will be calm also.
So this week we had an awesome devotional on Sunday. We watched a film that just came out called "He is the Gift". As we were watching it, I felt the Spirit so strongly that I legitimately thought I would lose my dinner. Has that ever happened to any of you before? Yeah it's awesome, but a little worrisome at the same time. But look it up if you haven't. It's awesome.
So for Sacrament Meeting we never have assigned talks. We all have to prepare a talk and then while we are sitting in the meeting the branch president announces who will be talking that week. So this last sunday I was just so tired and didn't want to speak. So during the sacrament, I was praying to Heavenly Father and this is about how the conversation happened:
Me: Heavenly Father, I feel so tired I think I'm going to pass out. Please don't let them call on me to speak today.
HF: Well, Allyson, do you have something prepared?
Me: Of course, but I just really don't think I can get up out of my chair today. I'm sorry.
HF: But if your name was called, would you be willing?
Me: Yes...
HF: Awesome, it's gonna be you today.
And about 5 minutes after the Sacrament, President Howard got up and announced my name. I got up, shared my message, and sat down again without feeling an ounce of fatigue. But as soon as I sat down it all came back. I just smiled.
Me: Thank you, Heavenly Father.
Anyways, just trust in Him. That's the best advice for life.
Love,
Sister Lefebvre
