Dear Family and Friends:
I'm going to be honest, not a lot different has happened this week from the last weeks. We are still trying to get the members to works with us, still trying to get the few investigators we have to keep their commitments, and still trying to pretend like we aren't living in an oven. But even through all the hardships, there is no way I can deny the Hand of God in my life here on the mission.
One thing that was different though was that I had the opportunity to go to a wedding. A returned missionary fell in love with a non-member and he decided that he rather liked the way she lived and how this church was true and all. So he decided to get baptized. They were married in the church this last Saturday and then he will be baptized next Saturday. They will go to the temple in a year, and that will be just wonderful.
Now technically I don't think missionaries are allowed to dance... but the wedding music was pumping and one sister and I were just kind of dancing in our chairs. And then High School musical came on and we just couldn't stay in those chairs anymore. She and I both jumped up and danced our way to the middle of the floor. All the Filipinos cleared out and watched in amazement as the two of us danced "We're All in This Together". I'm sure there are many pictures and videos on Facebook forever memorializing our outburst of normalcy. I'll repent later. But at least all the non-Mormons there know that we are still normal people and not so similar to the Amish as they might have thought before.
Sometimes it's hard to think that this week will be the 4 month mark. It goes by so fast. But then there are slow days too. Depends on the day.
Thank you for all of your prayers for me and my investigators. I know this is where I need to be and I am so grateful to have the means to come out here and do this great work. Have a great week!
